Contracts
A contract is a document, its terms and its wording, all in one place.
A contract is a document — customer, lines (the services and their price), numbering, statuses, a PDF, a public link, e-mail, attachments and related documents — plus its terms (what binds and for how long) and its content (the wording your customer agrees to). Start one from a customer, a quote, a won deal, or from nothing at all.
Lifecycle
Draft (being written) → Sent (out for signing) → Active (signed and running) ⇄ On hold (paused) → Ended (closed). A contract can also be Cancelled before it ever starts, and reopened from there. "Mark as signed" records a signature taken on paper, until it is signed online.
Terms
Set on every contract: the start date, a minimum term (your commitment — 6 or 12 months, say), the billing interval (once, monthly, quarterly, yearly), whether it auto-renews after the minimum term, an optional fixed end date, the notice period, what ending early costs (the remaining committed months by default, a fixed fee, or nothing), and — where relevant — how many support hours a month the price includes.
The contract's page always shows where it stands today: the date you are committed until, and the earliest date it could end if notice were given right now.
Writing the contract
The contract's wording can be written text with placeholders, an uploaded document, or both. The text editor supports headings, lists, links and the usual formatting, and placeholder chips for anything that should be filled in automatically — the customer's name and address, the price, the term, the renewal date, and more.
- Templates (Settings → Contract templates) — save your standard wording per language, with one default per language, so a new contract starts from the right one automatically. A contract keeps its own copy of the text: editing or deleting a template later never changes a contract already written.
- Your side, signed — Settings lets you fill in who signs for your company and in what handwriting-style font, so a printed contract already carries your signature; the customer's side is signed on paper or, better, online.
- A contract is locked once it is Active, On hold or Ended — a change from there is a new contract or an annex, not an edit.
Printed, PDF and public link
The first page is the offer — services, prices, totals and a terms summary (start date, initial period, notice, billing, and the fact that prices are fixed for the initial period). The full agreement text follows on its own page, then the signatures. The same layout is used for the on-screen preview, the PDF, and the contract's public link.
Cloning
Clone on a contract, or on a selected row in the list, creates a new draft with the same terms and text — but not the signature, so it starts fresh and unsigned.
