Inventory and warehouses (coming soon)

Not yet available in your workspace. This page describes what Inventory is designed to do, so you know it is coming and roughly what to expect — it is not a feature you can turn on today.

What it will do

• Stock per product and location — how much of a product you have, tracked at each of your warehouses, or in one place if you keep a single stock.
• A full movement history — every change to stock (received, counted, moved between locations, shipped out) recorded as its own entry, so stock on hand is always the sum of what actually happened to it, never a number edited by hand.
• Receiving — turning a purchase order into stock on the shelf, product by product.
• Stock counts — enter what you actually counted; the difference is booked as an adjustment, with a record of who made it and when.
• Transfers — move stock between your own warehouses, with a check that the source location actually has enough.
• Shipments — track a sales order's shipment status (unshipped, partly shipped, shipped) and, when it ships, take the stock out automatically.
• Low-stock warnings — set a reorder level on a product and see it flagged before you run out.

How it connects to what you already use

Purchasing and Inventory are designed to work together: a purchase order is how stock comes in, and once Inventory is available, receiving a purchase order will book it straight onto the shelf. Selling already anticipates it too — a sales order's delivery address and shipment status are already there, waiting for Inventory to switch on.
