USER GUIDE

Team feed, groups and activity

A feed for your team, conversation on the records you work on, and groups.

Social is Bizinly's built-in team conversation — an add-on for workspaces that want a feed and discussion alongside their documents and customers; ask us to switch it on for your workspace. Once it is on, it adds a Feed and Groups to the sidebar, and an Activity tab to document and customer pages.

Feed

Open Feed for team posts, posts from any group you can read, and activity on documents and customers — newest first, with filters for Everything, Team, Groups, or Documents & customers. Each post shows where it happened, such as "on SO-00004" or "in Roastery team", linked straight back to it.

Activity on documents and customers

A document or customer's page can carry its own Activity tab — notes and conversation about that specific record, alongside its other tabs. Which document types show it (or none at all) and whether customers show it too are set when Social is switched on for your workspace.

Groups

Groups let a team organise conversation by topic or department:

  1. Create a group with a name, description and whether it is private.
  2. Anyone can join a public group immediately; a private group needs a request, approved by one of its owners or admins.
  3. Owners and admins approve or remove members, and promote members to admin — only an owner can change another owner or admin. The last owner of a group cannot leave it.
  4. Leave a group at any time (except as its last owner).

Posting, liking and commenting

Every post and comment can be liked, and anyone can comment. A post's own author can edit it; a moderator or the author can delete it. Report flags a post or comment that shouldn't be there (not your own, and only once per person) — text throughout is plain, with line breaks and clickable links, never formatted or embedded content.

Moderation

Workspace owners and admins can open Moderation to see reported posts and comments, most-reported first, with the reasons given, and restore, hide or delete each one. A post or comment is also hidden automatically, for everyone but its author and moderators, once enough different people have reported it — a moderator can restore it from there.
